about
during the making of this album Ecid's hard drive crashed and this song had to be completely remade from scratch. The original version had the drums through out the track and a much more intense delivery in the verses. So when Ecid remade it he decided to drop out the majority of the drums for the verses and go with a more melodic, sing song approach that really made the song have a unique feel to it.
lyrics
Fuck The vanity I’m cashing in my sanity tokens
Love is battery acid now your face is really smokin
What a pretty moment, yeah the portals open
Let’s dive inside and pass out drunk in a frozen ocean
Every astronaut needs his dancing mascot it’s blast off
and there ain’t enough gas to get back doc
Full moon at high noon Black jack stand off
Bombs away bottoms up tops off after shock
This is not another big footing sighting
This is your brain on the drugs when the drugs are lightning
Hold tight to the bright lights- oh how enlightening
Fight or flight high jack your life it’s more exciting
We all want so much more than we’ll have
or need it never lasts at least one day you’ll have an epitaph
For the right stack oh what a gas
Nothings set in stone just sell sell sell and sell it fast
(Hook)
Were all, were all, were all, were all, were all
werewolf holograms blinded by the fall of man
Were all, were all, were all, were all, were all
Afraid of ourselves and a world we’ll never understand
Were all, were all, were all, were all, were all
werewolf holograms blinded by the fall of man
Were all, were all, were all, were all, were all
Afraid of ourselves and a world we’ll never understand
Got a lot on mind that I can’t say to strangers
Think I’m losing my mind in love with touching danger
Dancing with the devil treating friends like strangers
Angel on angel violence we need a savior
People come people go it’s all so novican
I don’t know my brain let alone my motor skills
Your my Mona Lisa the feelings on over kill
Call it what you wanna call it maybe I’m over the hill
Doomed to do what humans do cuz we don’t know what to do
Stuck on mute unplugged unimpressed with everything that isn’t you
yup I’m screwed up too that news is nothing new
Prepared to shoot for my favorite pair of shoes
Paralyzed from the dick up without a parachute
There’s no room for hiccups when your scared of the truth
Jumping through burning hula hoops to regroup the troops
Let’s dance the night away and wake to a game of who’s who

Minneapolis made, Brooklyn based Rapper/Producer, Ecid has been creating his own brand of experimental hiphop for a decade
and a half now. From the 2006 cult favorite-collaborative effort Saturday Morning Soundtrack to 2012's acclaimed solo release Werewolf Hologram, Ecid has proven time and time again to be an artist hell bent on steady mutation....more

I have been listening to variations of this album a long time. I remember I was living in a cardboard dumpster when some young guy was like yo dude it's gonna rain come crash on my couch. He played The Many Faces of Oliver Hart for me. I fell in love, I set my favorite track as Rain because we looped it when the rain came. That was one of the early acts of kindness I received in the nearly 20 years I've been homeless. @NomadRoamsFree

Sometimes you come across an artist that is compelled to do what they do.
I appreciate the musicality and the arrangement and the artistry of the songs. He sings and plays like his life depends on it. I appreciate the humanity of the lyrics… Like reading Tortilla Flats, or watching Nobody’s Fool.
Ceschi is a bright star. I’m glad he’s loose in the world. oldtruck

Jesus what an absolutely stunning collection of hip-hop. If I have to be a dick, this album is more of a mix tape in style, the aesthetics of each song is just so different, there's a certain level of narrative disconnect. That said, the actual songs themselves are fucking ill. Packed with dope features, each one matched with Scott's production makes for a genuinely rewarding listen. Rest easy man, you'll be missed. always_kos
