Minneapolis MC/producer, Ecid is a kamikazee visionary. An artist with an all or nothing approach to every aspect of his life. With a punk DIY mentality, Ecid has self-booked tour after tour over the course of three years, no agent or publicist, building his cult fan-base one stop at a time. Totaling well over a hundred shows in the past fifteen months, he has shared the stage with the likes of Aesop Rock, Brother Ali, KRS One, Eyedea, Prince Po, B. Dolan, and RA The Rugged Man among many others. All three of Ecid's most recent releases have charted on the College Music Journal's Hip Hop Top 40 chart, with his last collaboration album with Fake Four Inc.'s Awol One having owned the chart for seventeen weeks. His newest, most focused and ambitious album yet, "Werewolf Hologram" is being readied for an early 2012 release as well as collaboration albums with Qwel (Typical Cats) and a follow-up project with Awol One. His sound can only be contained to obscure genres like Post-indie Psych-rap Garage-hop. Ecid is the voice to kick a hipster to.
